About Us
The
Guelph Figure Skating Club (GFSC) began operation in 1951. Affiliated
with Skate Canada, our club promotes both recreational and competitive
figure skating in the city of Guelph and surrounding communities. Over
the past 51 years, the Guelph Figure Skating Club has offered its
members a wide variety of skating options from KidsSkate/Canskate
Programs to Competitive and StarSkate Figure Skating and Ice Dancing. We
are truly proud of our skating club as we are fortunate to have such a
wonderful coaching staff and an active slate of volunteers who make
this club such a great place to skate. As a result of their dedication
and motivation, our skaters progress well throughout the various
programs we provide and have a lot of fun at the same time. Many of our
skaters participate in other skating-related activities like hockey or
ringette or simply enjoy all of the new things they learn while
recreational skating. Some skaters continue on into the figure skating
stream, participating in SkateCanada's test program and competing in
competitions.
