Fundraising
is essential to the successful operation of our club. We have various
fundraisers throughout the season and participation is greatly appreciated.
Ontario Promotional Tickets: This is a mandatory fee and our major fundraiser of the year. It is added, once per family, to the program registration fees. The tickets are for a draw held in March. The grand prize last year was a new Ford Escape XLT, and there are many other wonderful prises to be had. The ticket booklet contains twenty $2.00 tickets which you can sell to family and friends if you wish to recoup your cost.
50/50 Draws Occasionally, we have the opportunity and are looking for volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets at a Guelph Storm hockey game. This is an important fundraiser as the club gets half of the proceeds
of ticket sales. No admission ticket to the game is required for volunteers.
Volunteers must be 18 or older to sell the 50/50 tickets, but usually your kids can come
along and sell programs which we also get a percentage on.
Ice Show A show of this magnitude does require additional funds. The Club will be seeking corporate sponsorships as well as donations for door prizes. Please contact the club if you are able to help out with a donation.
Zehrs Tapes During
the skating season we ask members to donate Zehrs grocery tapes and the
proceeds from this collection go towards food and hospitality items for
celebrations and events that are held throughout the year. The
club is grateful for the donation of Canadian Tire Money. Collection of
these funds goes toward the purchase of equipment for our Kidskate and
Canskate programs. |
