The GSC will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 27

at 7pm.  

This year our AGM will be held on a virtual platform due to the ongoing COVID-19 situtation.

What is CanSkate?

The Children’s Foundation Free to Play Program provides financial assistance for children in need so that they can participate in sports, cultural and recreational activities.  For more information about eligibility and how to apply, visit -

  • A dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.

 

  • Designed for beginners of all ages as well as those wanting to improve their basic skills.

 

  • Taught by NCCP-trained professional coaches, assisted by trained program assistants.

 

  • Focuses on complete series of skills that will prepare skaters for figure, hockey, ringette and recreational skating.

What is CanPowerSkate?
  • An action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters.

 

  • Designed for skaters aged approx. 6 and older who have basic forward and backward skating skills and are able to stop on command without use of the boards.

 

  • Taught by NCCP-trained professional coaches, certified to teach CanPowerSkate programs.  

 

  • Focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance.  Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format.

End of Season

Our season ended on April 1 due to the provincial shutdown effective April 3.
